Dessert - Chocolate rolls
Let's make a delicious and simple dessert!
500 g flour (4 cups)
300 ml milk or water
20 g dry yeast
2 tablespoons sugar
45 g cornstarch
a pinch of salt
12 g vanilla sugar
For the filling you can add slices of apples with cinnamon and brown sugar, jam, chocolate, Nutella, walnuts, raisins.
In a large bowl add the dry yeast and the warm milk or water, mix well. Next add 3 tablespoons of flour and mix again. After leave it for 10 minutes and cover it with a towel.
After it should look like this.
Now add the egg, vanilla sugar and the 2 tablespoons of sugar, the cornstarch, the 500 g of flour and the pinch of salt. Mix it well. Use an electric mixer.
Now cover it with a towel and leave it to increase in size for 30-40 minutes.
Now it's time to roll it with the rolling pin and cut it in 6 or 9 portions.
It's time to add the filling of your choice, I used chocolate.
Now form rolls starting from one end to the other. Place them in a baking tray with space between them because they will double in size in the oven.
Place them in the oven at 180 Celsius degrees/ 356 Fahrenheit for 25 - 30 minutes. You know they are done when they pass the toothpick test.
